Dr. Lisa Edwards joined our team in January 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for animal care. Dr. Edwards has been an integral part of the Seattle veterinary community for the past 21 years. Dr. Edwards embarked on her journey in veterinary medicine at the University of Tennessee, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2002. Following her academic achievements, she sought to expand her knowledge and skills by completing a rotating internship in Denver, Colorado.
She has become a seasoned expert in Emergency and Critical Care, specializing in handling urgent situations with poise and precision. Her dedication to the well-being of animals extends to her interests in cardiology and respiratory disease as well.
A lover of culinary arts, she enjoys cooking up delightful treats in her free time. Long walks and boating adventures are among her favorite outdoor activities, allowing her to unwind and connect with nature. She also relishes watching sports, with a special fondness for college football.
In her personal life, Dr. Edwards shares her home with her husband and a feline companion named Doug. Known affectionately by various nicknames such as Douglas, Dougy, or DUG-uh-less, Doug is not just a pet but a cherished member of the family. Adding to the mix is their “nautical child” Rudolph, a red Nordic Tug, who brings joy and adventure to their lives.
