Sloane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where she also minored in dance, showcasing her love for both science and the arts. Building on her academic foundation, she earned an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Apex College of Veterinary Technology.
Sloane’s journey into veterinary medicine is deeply rooted in her lifelong passion for caring for animals. Her experience ranges from being a kennel technician and zookeeper to a marine mammal trainer, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to the well-being of animals. According to Sloane, “Caring for animals has always been a part of my life; whether as a kennel tech, a zookeeper, a marine mammal trainer, or a vet tech. This was the next step in that ever-changing passion.”
Beyond her professional achievements, Sloane is a well-rounded individual with a variety of personal interests. She is not only dedicated to the welfare of animals but also actively pursues her love for dance, hiking, paddleboarding, and yoga. Sloane has a keen interest in learning languages. specifically Spanish, German, Japanese, and Danish, showcasing her commitment to expanding her horizons and connecting with diverse communities.
At home, Sloane shares her life with a sassy 6-year-old female Siberian Husky named Indigo.
