Dr. Heeren received her veterinary degree from Iowa State University, and honed her skills in small animal medicine and surgery through an internship at Denver Veterinary Specialists. In addition to her veterinary expertise, she holds a B.A. in Medical Biology from Beloit College in Wisconsin.
With a deep love for surgery and emergency medicine, Dr. Heeren gives back to the community through her involvement in the Feral Cat Project, where she provides spay and neuter services for feral cats. She also offers her expertise at the Doney Clinic.
Aside from her passion for veterinary medicine, Dr. Heeren is a dedicated wife and mother of two. In her leisure time, she is a proud parent to two feline companions, Lt. Judy and Hops, and enjoys gardening and hiking in the beautiful Seattle area.
