A Holter Monitor can be an effective tool for diagnosing your pet's heart condition.
Occasionally dogs and cats can experience abnormal heart beats, a condition that could be detrimental to their health. Sometimes these dangerous heart rhythms only occur sporadically so diagnosis can be challenging. EKG can be an effective tool to diagnose these irregularities. While an EKG monitor measures the electrical activity in the heart during a visit, Holter Monitors are used to record an EKG on a continual basis over multiple days while you and your pet go about your normal activities. Our Urgent Care team can fit your animal with a 48-hour Holter Monitor, collect the information, and provide a report. We welcome Seattle Veterinary Associates patients as well as those referred by other veterinarians in the area on an outpatient basis. Please contact us directly to learn more.
