Veterinarians & Staff

Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Lindsay Stankowiak (Stan-koh-vee-yak), attended Michigan State University, where she earned her B.S. in Animal Science and graduated from the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine with honors.

Upon completion of her DVM degree, Dr. Stankowiak chose to embark upon a new adventure in the Pacific Northwest. Being attracted to both the outdoors and city life, the Seattle metro area was a perfect fit. She spent the first three years of her career practicing emergency medicine at a high-volume small animal practice before becoming a full-time relief veterinarian and business owner. As a relief veterinarian, Dr. Stankowiak continued to practice emergency medicine while expanding her skillset in urgent care and also has an interest in leadership.

Dr. Stankowiak loves the diversity and challenges that emergency and urgent care cases present. Above all, she values continuous learning and collaboration with other team members to provide the best patient care. Though not always easy, she finds great satisfaction in supporting pets and their families during difficult times.

Dr. Stankowiak also values the importance of involving pet owners in their patient’s health care. By educating and empowering pet parents, she is able to strengthen the human-animal bond and help patients live healthy lives.

Outside of her career, Dr. Stankowiak finds happiness spending quality time with her husband, son, and their two dogs, Lakota and Miller. She also enjoys doing barre classes, reading, skiing, backpacking, and cheering for Seattle sports teams.
