Tessa joined Seattle Veterinary Associates in 2026. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College located in Iowa in 2005 with her associates in veterinary technology. She first started out in emergency medicine followed by a few years in general practice. She then moved on to specialty medicine where she landed in the surgery department in a few locations/states over 12 years. In 2017, she earned her VTS in anesthesia/analgesia. Then in 2021, she earned a VTS in surgery. She enjoys both anesthesia and scrubbing in on surgeries. She has a special interest in airway/respiratory management and analgesia.
Fairly new to Washington state after moving from Arizona, she feels like she still has a lot of exploring of Washington to do. She shares her life with two German shepherds (Luna and Javy) and a horse (Maverick). In her free time, she likes to bake, walk/hike with her dogs, walk/or ride her horse, ride her bike, and watch movies.
